McFarlane is a residential construction company specializing in remodeling and the repair of homes primarily in Austin, Lakeway and Dripping Springs. We strive to provide customers with honest estimates and quality workmanship. Unlike many general contractors, we like to take on both smaller jobs (including Handyman projects) as well as complete remodel projects.

Michael McFarlane, the President, grew up in Austin and has been in the building and remodeling services since 1995. He started in the building business as a carpenter’s helper while attending Southwest Texas State University in San Marcos, TX. He completed a degree in Finance from Southwest Texas State University (now Texas State) in December 1997.

Michael has worked for a mortgage lender as a construction loan coordinator, a remodeler as well as worked for both production and custom homebuilders before choosing to open his own business. As a skilled carpenter, Michael has an intimate knowledge of building from a hands-on perspective. He enjoys the variety of projects and need for constant problem solving that is inherent to remodeling.
