Unique Transformations ATX, LLC. is a residential construction company specializing in remodeling and the repair of homes primarily in the Dripping Springs and Southwest Austin areas. We strive to provide customers with honest estimates and quality workmanship. Unlike many general contractors, we like to take on both smaller jobs (including Handyman projects) as well as complete remodel projects.

Michael McFarlane, the President, grew up in Austin and has been in the building and remodeling services since 1995. He started in the building business as a carpenter’s helper while attending Southwest Texas State University in San Marcos, TX. He completed a degree in Finance from Southwest Texas State University (now Texas State) in 1997.

Michael has worked for a mortgage lender as a construction loan coordinator, a remodeler as well as worked for both production and custom homebuilders before choosing to open his own business. As a skilled carpenter, Michael has an intimate knowledge of building from a hands-on perspective. He enjoys the variety of projects and need for constant problem solving that is inherent to remodeling.

Daniel Parker is the Vice President and has worked with several start-up companies and after helping both an exterminator and a low voltage wiring company get started, Dan began working with Michael as he grew McFarlane Construction. The symbiotic relationship that was created through Dan’s attention to the bottom line and Michael’s building knowledge was undeniable and Unique Transformations was created to allow both Dan and Michael to share the business responsibilities.

Small change BIG difference

We had an idea about a small change that would make a BIG difference in our home-an opening in a wall and new flooring. Mike come over for FREE to consult on feasibility of the project. He gave us a bid and stuck to it. The work was done quickly and professionally. He supervised the subcontractor who installed the flooring. Mike personally fashioned a decorative strip of wood flooring as a transition from one type of flooring to another. We've had lots of compliments on this attractive feature that Mike added to the project at no extra charge. Unique Transformations made our idea a reality. Since that project, Unique Transformations is our go-to service for work in our house. They even provided same day service on our broken doorbell on Halloween day so that we would be ready for trick-or-treaters that night! Fast, professional, done right.

Mike and Daniel of Unique Transformations have been professional and responsive to the changes and repairs I have made on my home. Trying to explain to a National known homebuilder how a garbage disposal is installed on the wrong side of a sink is almost laughable. But Mike and Daniel came in and made the change without a hitch. Also, my biggest job that I had to have done in unison with the builder was to install double doors going out to my patio where the builder had made a huge blunder. They worked together with the brick layers to change out windows and install my beautiful Dutch doors to my patio.
