Kay Hughes of Knott Garden, artist & designer of Murals and Floor Cloths Knott Garden was started in 2000, and I paint murals in homes and businesses, and work out of my home studio in Austin creating portable murals, floor cloths (hand painted rugs) and other fun things. My education is Interior Design, and this background helps when designing commission murals and floor cloths for clients. My Work: Murals are designed for homes, cafes, offices, store displays and public buildings. Each painting is unique and suited for that space. They can be fun, delightful, or grand, but mostly just enjoyed. Art & Wall hangings - I design and paint on walls, wood, metal, canvas and other media. In my collection there are; portable murals, children's art, and conventional stretched canvas pieces with and without wood frames. Floor cloths (hand painted rugs) are on heavy weight canvas.
